As it has been one month since we started "The Here and Now" show, the crew decided that a blog would be just another great addition to keep all of you guys in the loop on what is happening with the show and the hosts!
As you may or may not know, our show is every Saturday from 3pm-4pm EST on WXBR 1460AM, tunein.com, or the tunein app!
Yesterday, the crew discussed Maya Angelou's passing, T.I. and Floyd Mayweather fighting over T.I.'s wife, Tiny, and Lavar Burton starting to a Kick Starter to bring "Reading Rainbow" back! We also got the chance to interview Sarah Elentukh, Executive Director of Static Noyze Dance Company. Static Noyze is based out of Boston, MA where they teach contemporary dance every Monday in Cambridge and Hip-Hop dance every Thursday in Boston. Watch the full interview below! (DISCLAIMER: BRIAN WE CAN'T HEAR YOU! We'll be sure to fix that for next time! We'll also be uploading full show audio if you happen to miss one!)
You can connect with Static Noyze through their Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or head to their website.
In Mike's "What's Your Relationship Status?" Big Mike asked the question: "What are dating do's and dont's?" Different topics were thrown out like paying for the first date, girls approaching guys, and Sidney's tragic story of having to pay for her first dates dinner after both of his credit cards were declined. Barbara called in to give Sidney a little advice, saying she should have just gotten up and left when both of his cards were declined. To Sidney's defense, she was young and naive. Long story short, don't let a cute face cloud your judgement!
And finally, in our "Happy Ending" segment, we discussed how 4 teenagers found a newborn baby after it being kidnapped from the hospital. A woman had dressed up as a hospital nurse and had kidnapped the newborn. Four teenagers were able to save the child after seeing posts on Facebook!
Catch us next weekend, Saturday June 7th from 3-4pm on WXBR 1460!
