The summer time is more than warm air and heading to the pool. It can be best described by Will Smith 90's hit "Summer Time": “…it is a natural aphrodisiac”. Our feeling and perceptions about life change during the summer, so why wouldn’t our taste in men and women change as well? We enjoy that care free spirit that enjoys hanging out all night without thoughts of responsibilities. Summer love has been an idea through the ages, ever since the first school system had the idea of giving two months off between the end of May and the End of August.
But what happens when Labor Day comes and it’s time to head back to school or work and vacation is nothing more than a midsummer night’s dream? Does that person still contain the values for a long term relationship or were they just a summer fling? That individual must be more than just fun and care free, they have to contain characteristics we all value in a significant other. Enduring the fall is more than good looks and a free and fun spirit!
I always say "Will that summer time love make it to a New Year’s Eve kiss?"
